United Credit Partners is a bonded agency, licensed by the California Attorney General to do credit optimization and debt settlement. We post an annual $100,000 client satisfaction bond as required by our State license which protects you with a money-back guarantee should we fail to keep our promises.
As a growing company, our team changes from time to time, but the following people form the core of our staff:
Khaled Helmy, Founder & CEO
Khaled brings more than 15 years of specialized financial services expertise to bear on your needs, including years of experience as an upper executive with Experian and financial director for large consumer-focused sales firms. In the late 1990s, Khaled received a USAID-funded contract through Experian to create from scratch a credit reporting service in the Middle East, literally starting with handwritten cards in wooden boxes providing payment information from local merchants through a fully modern computer-driven consumer bureau.
This deep, broad experience provides an exceptional understanding of how credit reporting works, what creditors and bureaus look for in your file, and how to remove negatives using the tools available within the strict guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Fluent in several languages, Khaled is a skilled negotiator who aggressively pursues clients’ interests in solving their credit needs. “If an action is not good for a client, we simply won’t do it,” he says. “Integrity, honesty and exceptional value must guide all that we do.”
James Murphy, Credit Specialist & Marketing Manager
A big-picture thinker who is consistently focused on client benefit, James brings to the table more than 40 years of business experience, both as an independent entrepreneur and leader of client-service teams in corporate environments. Responsible for the company’s various information resources, James takes complex financial dynamics and presents them in clear, straightforward language, careful to explain the benefits of our services while communicating his own enthusiasm for the company’s commitment to integrity. “Clients need to know they can trust us to do what we say we do, and follow through to accomplish their most important credit needs. We work hard make what we do transparent and accessible.”
“I’m lucky to have a position in which I get to help people on a daily basis,” he says. “Sure we get paid for what we do, but our focus is always on what’s best for the client. We’re careful to review the cost/benefit ratio for all our services, and if it’s not in the client’s best interest, we simply won’t do it.”
Leann Wood, Administrator
Responsible for the daily operation of United Credit Partners, Leann is the first person clients see when they come in the door and often the primary executor of the instructions which come out of Khaled’s analysis of the client’s file. A sharp mind and shrewd intellect stalks behind her stylish outfits and blonde hair, and her commitment to the success of the credit optimization process is expressed through a disciplined and high-energy work style. In any given month, Leann is the point person for several hundred negative trade lines being deleted from clients’ files, making her one of our clients’ favorite people.
Originally coming to UCP part time while she finished her Master’s Degree, Leann recently reprioritized her life to serve clients full time and attend school part time.

Chrystal Clagett, Sales Assistant

Chrystal is responsible for connecting with clients and investigating the reason for their credit repair inquiries, addressing general questions about our services, gathering information and helping clients navigate through the application process, then guiding them through the steps it takes to optimize their credit. She is the newest addition to our professional team and was brought on for her strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem solving skills. She is driven, energetic, and seeks advancement within the company. Building a strong rapport with our clients, she follows up with them, gets their feedback, and makes sure that we are providing exceptional customer service.
“I find it easy to build relationships with people because I listen and care about their needs. My job is to make sure that those who need our service see that we are the right company for them. Therefore, our job is not done until you have seen how much money you can save by allowing us to help you.”
Balmatie Ramlochan, Affiliate Relations Representative
Born and raised in India then coming to the United States to attend university, Bal received her degree in Civil Engineering from UCSD after attending Columbia University in New York. UCP’s resident “math whiz,” Bal left engineering after a decade to have the chance to work more closely with people, and has been a licensed REALTOR® for more than 10 years here in San Diego County. “As much as I enjoy making numbers sing and dance, helping people get the homes they want and need is even more fulfilling,” she says. Coming to United Credit Partners was the result of a long process of considering the roadblocks people encounter when searching for a home, then searching for ways to remove them. “Financing is the number one issue people have when buying a home,” she says, “and solving credit problems is at the very foundation of the home-buying process. It’s great to be part of the solution.”
Responsible primarily for cultivating our Affiliate relationships, Bal spends much of her work week out in the field meeting with mortgage brokers, title and escrow officers, and REALTORS®.
